Well, folks in Denison, Texas did.  On October 8th, residents of the Homestead of Denison celebrated the first ever Aromatherapy Day.  Hospice Volunteers made the day possible through their Aromatherapy experience.

Denison residents got the chance to sample organic aromatherapy recipes like foot soak and sugar scrub.  They also enjoyed scented oils.

It appears Denison’s first Aromatherapy Day was a resounding success.  It wouldn’t be a bad idea for other towns to implement such a day to help the locals relax. Even people who aren’t into scents as much as I am enjoy a pleasant aroma, so it could work.

You can read the news article about the day here.
